Charismatic Cory

It's been a couple of weeks since the tragic news of Cory Monteith's death. It was a shock and I've been in denial ever since. Not only did I fall in love the character Finn Hudson but I was quite fond Cory as an individual. He was such an amazing person and the world has lost a great man but he will never be forgotten. I'm sending out a virtual hug to all  gleeks worldwide. I'm grateful that GLEE helped introduce Cory to the world.

I always thought Cory would be the perfect boyfriend, if I was into guys. Anyhow, I can still appreciate beauty and he was one tall glass of handsome. He was: good looking, in shape, tall, athletic, a talented singer, musician & actor; he had: great skin, cool hair, a lovely smile, healthy teeth, a nice personality, and a  great sense of humor. He was full of energy and although he was only my friend in the gleek world, I wish I could've been his friend in real life.

Meeting The Shum

Last month I found out that Harry Shum Jr. was going to be a special guest at This Week, a sketch comedy show about the week’s current events, at Second City in Hollywood. I immediately bought my tickets in advance. Great move because it sold out quickly. The performance was hilarious and Harry was brilliant. It was a great opportunity to see Harry in action and in an intimate setting. I also wanted to give the Second City crew a shout out because they were very entertaining and had me laughing at all the sketches, especially Patricia Villetto. If you’re ever in Hollywood, you should totally check out a performance.

After the show, I was lucky enough to meet HSJ. He was extremely nice, huggable and smiley. It was a quick hello and a snapped photo. He hung out a bit at the theatre and was kind enough to chat and take photos with some fans. My niece and I were also able to take our photo with Harry. Even though I had a bad hair day, at least it was a good day.

And The Drums

The drums, the drums, the drums, the drums, oh!

I just love GREAT DJ by The Ting Tings; just as much as I love drummers. Okay, so it's no surprise that I'm a total GLEEK! Last April, my niece and I were in San Francisco looking at colleges and it just so happened that Bonnie Dune (Cory Monteith's new band) was performing. We went and it was a fun show!

I make little guitar pick necklaces for people I admire. That being said, I wanted to do something a little different for a cool drummer boy. I got a drum key and inscribed Cory's name on one side, and a star on the other. I then attached it to a key ring, with a chain for clipping on pants and easy access. Cory totally loved it and the band members said that he is always looking for a key. That was so cool because I gave him a gift that he would actually use.

A few months later, Cory tweeted about the drum key! That was just AWESOME!

Kristin Chenoweth @ The Grove

On September 21st, The Grove welcomed Kristin Chenoweth to promote her new album Some Lessons Learned with a live performance filmed for Extra.
"What Would Dolly Do"
"Fathers and Daughters"
"I want Somebody (Bitch About)"
"It's part of the art of creating something new" -Kristin Chenoweth
Barnes and Noble sold the CD, giving you a wristband to meet Kristin, after her performance, for a CD signing. We waited in line for a bit because she was doing interviews. It was worth the wait.
After the small set, I got in line to get my cd autographed. There was this teenage girl and her dad behind me and she told her father that Kristin sang that song "Fathers and Daughters" for them. How adorable!
Even though, prior to the signing, the staff went around saying there would be no posing photos, Kristin still took photos with fans. She is so sweet! I was happy to meet her and finally give her the glee necklace I made for her.

Glee Project's FIREWORK

Today is glee's season 2 finale. I'm excited for tonight's episode but I'm sad that the season is over. Thank God for The Glee Project, premiering June 12th, for keeping me occupied this summer. Even though I have glee's complete first season, first part of the second season and the rest of the season DVR'd, I still tuned into Oxygen to watch the gleekaton. I was also following along on twitter but I think that I was too late for some of the trivia due to the different time zones.

It was fun watching the previews and ads for THE GLEE PROJECT. I knew they were going to premiere a video, of the new cast, but I didn't see the whole marathon because I went to Long Beach pride. I had a little too much fun and was recovering these past couple of days. I'm feeling a lot better now and Gleesday always gets me pumped, so I started reading tweets and following up on gleeks. I saw the FIREWORK video on youtube and I got the chills! I just had to share it.

Gaga 4 GLEE

Tonight's the night! I wish glee episodes were BORN THIS WAY - 90mins. A lot of people weren't too excited about last week's episode but I'm sure they'll be over it after watching an hour and a half of McKinley's finest.

Angelenos, don't forget to watch GLEE at downtown's coolest gleek-spot, First & Hope, for their weekly glee viewing party with fellow gleeks.

Below photo, taken from FOX, is what we'll get to see on tonight's episode. Can you say, "Barbara Streisand?" Sweet thing is that I was at the mall when this was being filmed =D.

Okay, this is glee related; I'm a fan of Bridget McManus, whom is beyond awesome, and in her recent Afternoon Delight, she gleeks it up - lez style.

I Am Number Four

Last week was the premiere of I Am Number Four in Westwood. I got an ad that said to arrive early for the red carpet arrival. How do these kids do it? My feet were killing me! I got to Westwood at 3:30pm and was standing until we went into the theater a little after 8pm. It was worth it though. If you attend any screenings, Westwood is the place to go because you are right there in the middle of it, as apposed to other theaters where the fans are across the street.

Okay, so call me a poser but I didn't know that this film was based on a book series. I was just excited to get a glimpse of filmstars but there were fans there that were followers of the book.

I really enjoyed the movie! I love watching a movie with a cool crowd because they clap, laugh and scream louder than regular movie goers. I was glad to see Dianna Agron in a major movie role. The whole cast was awesome. I've become a fan of a couple of other hot filmstars. The movie was great and it only makes it better when you see it for free and get free popcorn & soda. After the film we went to Barney's Beanery for an after party and I scored with a poster, shirt & beanie. We were even given passes for an advance screening of the film and I gave it to a friend.

I AM NUMBER FOUR
is in theaters 2/18/2011.

Dammit Janet

Damn it Janet! I'm going to have to wait 1 week to see The Rocky Horror GLEE Show. It's okay because it will give me a little more time to get my outfit together for next Tuesday. I'll be decked out as a Transylvanian (rocky groupie) for a glee viewing party. This episode is going to be a gleeky Halloween treat.

If you want to dress up for the occasion, or for future RHPS screenings, check out this page devoted to the costumes of Rocky.

LA Tuesdays - GLEEWATCH

L.A. has a gLee viewing party every Tuesday in downtown at First & Hope. I was excited to find out that there was a viewing party for my favorite show and close to home too. I was surprised that more people didn't know about this and I promised to spread the word.

They had "school lunchtrays" for dinner and an awesome drink called, "Loser Slushie." Of course I had to get a couple those.

The Fedora Lounge is a lovely environment for watching glee; great sound system, comfortable seats, complimentary "after school snacks" and glee songs playing during commercial breaks. After the episode, the gleeks hung around to play the new GLEE game.

First & Hope is gleek sheik.

Claire's Glee Premiere Party

I finally had time to catch up on my photo uploads. I made a little video of my gleek experience on 9/21 for the Claire's Gleek Season 2 Premiere Party at the Glendale Galleria.

Thanks again to Claire's for giving me the opportunity to attend. I had a blast!

Glee (McKinley High)

I'm so happy that season 2 of Glee will be starting in 1 week. There were a lot of gleek events this summer but I wasn't able to attend them all because of work. I did catch Jane Lynch at 2 outfest events and they were awesome! Just being in her presence was amazing. I've yet to see the Sue wax figure in Hollywood but I'll try to make it out there soon.

I was stalking McKinley High, thanks to the heads up by I AM NOT A STALKER . COM this past spring and I wanted to share a little video I made. Check it out!

Claire's is full of glee with their glee accessories & glee pop-ups. You still have time to "roam the halls of McKinley High" at pop-up locations.

Dream On Gleek!

I want to thank We Heart Music for giving me a chance to review the Glee - Dream On EP. My reflex are a little slow and I wasn't able to get this out during the week it aired. I really loved the episode and wanted to share my thoughts with any GLEEKS out there that would listen.

I haven't got the Glee App yet but after reading my friend Vu's take on it, I want to hurry up and buy it. Check out both of our gleeky reviews at WE HEART MUSIC.

gLee Live 5/21/2010

Friday, 5/21/2010 in Hollywood, CA gLee Live @ Gibson Amphitheatre The BEST concert I've ever been to! I had a single ticket in the orchestra, awesome seat actually, but I let my niece sit there and sat in the 2nd to last row of the balcony. Wow, I guess I'm kinda a cool aunt. I took some videos but I made them private because YOUTUBE was flagging recordings of the glee concert due to copyrights. ? I wonder if they're going to release a live DVD in the future...

gLeek Peek

I can't hardly wait until the 13th of APRIL! Glee continues! I was fortunate to have been able to see a sneak peek of the "Hello" episode at the PaleyFest.

It held me over for a while but then it just made me more anxious. Here are a couple of clips, for the continued season, to feed off of for now:
